THE IBAR / A MIRACLE OF TECHNOLOGY
A tiny miracle of architecture and technology, the iBar is an illustration of Fontevraud’s engagement in digital technology. Touchscreen tablets of different sizes are incorporated into the furniture offering innovative ways to find out about Fontevraud and its surroundings. Information on the Abbey’s history and cultural programme, as well as games and quizzes can be called up on the screens. IPADS / FOR EVERY GENERATION
The iPad is everywhere at the Abbey. Guests of Fontevraud L’Hôtel are provided with one of these hubs of technology, through which they can access all hotel services, as well as information on the site and its surroundings. Young visitors to the Abbey, eight to 14 year olds, are able to experience the life of a nun or a prisoner thanks to a specially developed iPad application.
